A Week in Winter - Maeve Binchy
A delight to read Maeve Binchy's latest and last book. As ever her characters are written with warmth and insight and we get to know each of them well in their own interwoven stories.
The characters are brought together- some with secrets, some with pasts, some with problems - for a week in winter at Stone House in the west of Ireland. Whatever their reasons for being there, whatever their worries, you can guarantee that a week at Stone House with Chicky, Orla and Rigger will sort them out.
Maeve truly brings all her characters to life and draws such vivid pictures of their lives that you can't imagine but that they are real. I always find it very peaceful to read Maeve Binchy and she's given me so much pleasure over the years. Her last book does her great justice.
